How to find someone experienced in MS Word and is experienced using superscripts and subscripts for math text?
ssparker7 asked:
I’ve a friend who is writing a drafting textbook and needs someone who is experienced in MS Word and symbols such as subscripts, superscripts and square roots. Where would I look for such a person?
These are not answers to my question. I’m not looking for information on HOW to do this. I’m looking for someone who CAN do it, in exchange for compensation…

Dont bother even trying to do that…
If you want to actually embed math expressions then go about it like this… its much prettier
Use images! Embed images/picture files of the math expressions.
There are plenty of math image generators on the internet.
I prefer the (La)TeX language. You type in a sort of “language” of what the math expression is… and the program will generate an image.
Have you ever seen math expressions on the Wikipedia website? Those are images generated in real time from a simple text that is written into the webpage. Wikipedia uses the (La)TeX language/system
Anyway… you can download your own image generator, preferably (La)TeX. Or, use Wikipedias Sandbox page to make your own… copy them to your computer… embed them directly into your MS Word document.

If that is un-do-able for you…
Use your computers Character Map or use the Symbol Font in MS Word
I know MS Word does subscripts, superscripts etc. but for things like square roots, fractions, integrals etc. I think additional software must be used. On my computer I have Microsoft Equation Editor which is great for maths this sort of thing. I don’t know if it came with MS Word or not, but I found it by right-clicking on a toolbar -> Customize… -> Commands Tab -> Category: Insert -> Command: Equation Editor -> drag button onto toolbar. Hope this info helps.
Super and sub scripts are easy
Highlight the text to superscript, click format, font and check the appropriate box.
For symbols, there are alt codes (press and hold the alt key while entering a code). Try for starters
these are all bad answers. i can do it on MS Word with no images or special software. any math equation.
MS word has an option INSERT choose it then choose EQUATIONS all of the symbols are there.
For the super and sub scripts choose the appropriate x superscript or x subscript button located on the toolbar (it is located to the right of the B (bold), I (italics), U (underline), and abc buttons.
You can also do it from the format drop down box. HELP is a great way to find step by step dircetions. GOOD LUCK
